Disgrifiad | The wife was Elin, dr. of Owen Jones of Gwaenfynydd, and widow of William Owen of Trefeilir. (Prichard was her second husband). David Owen was, according to this doct., nephew to William Owen, and not son as in Pedigrees, 1 (in fact this section of the Pedigrees is most unconvincing - if W.O. was dead before 1703, is it likely that his son sold the Trefeilir lands to William Evans of Henblas in 1775?). The Owen Hughes behind this surrender was the Beaumaris attorney (cp. docts. 91-99). This document is accompanied by a lease of possession (29 March, 1703), relating to very much the same interests; in this doct. Richard Evans of Bwlan figures again an illiterate person who signs by mark (cp. 101-102). |
