Disgrifiad | The deed enters fully into the details of the devolution of the wealthy attorney's estate, names the executor, nieces and the heirs-at-law, and explains the process by which the interests of O.H. in Trefeilir fell to the niece Mary, wife of Richard Williams of Beaumaris, deceased (one witness of this doct. was Richard Hampton of Henllys, who was soon to become Mary's third husband). It is a laborious deed of seven parts, and figuring among the parties were William Bodvel of Madryn (upon whom for a period devolved a good proportion of Owen Hughes's estate), and John, Lord Bishop of Meath (but Bishop of Bangor from 1702-1715). It is also inferred from its terms that David Owen of Trefeilir's wife was named Catherine (she was dr. of Richard Bulkeley of Glan-y-gors, Pedigrees, 338). Four docts. altogether, the first dated 1 June, 1710, and the fourth (supplementary), 12 March, 1719-20. |
