TeitlIndenture of release by Madog ap Harri of Llanwnda and William ap Madog his son to Richard Evans, Master of Arts of Tyddyn y Felin Gafnog now in the tenure of Margaret vch Morris; Tyddyn Dol Gehelyn (Dol Guhelyn?) now in the tenure of Gwenllian vch Dafydd Meredydd, widow; Cae Newydd, tenure of William Williams, esquire; Wern or Werglodd Ddofn, held by Elen vch David ap John and Hugh ap Robert; also Y Tir Gwag uwchlaw y Ffordd Fawr, Y Tir Gwag islaw, Erw y Kinen (Cynnen?), or Knien (Cneuen?), and Tir Hugh ap William ap Griffith ap Hulkyn, tenure of Hugh ap John ap Robert - all in Dinlle.
Disgrifiad Richard Evans, M.A., was undoubtedly one of the sons of Elernion (Pedigrees, 175) and rector of Llanalhaiarn, and brother to Sibl (or Sibyl), great-great grandmother of William Evans of Llethrddu; that, and not the fact that the above lands came within the geographical proximity of the Bont Newydd estate of the Lewises (156-245), must account for this document being at Henblas. It is not without interest that one of the witnesses was Robert ap Griffith ap William, husband of the Sibl aforesaid.
