Rhif Cyf AmgHENB/304-305
TeitlCopy of the last will of Owen Davies of Plas Ucha, Llanfaethlu, "the rich old Man". Proved at Bangor, 13 January 1784
DisgrifiadMost important is the bequest of £450 to his daughter Jane, wife of William Evans, to be divided between her and her son William. £30 to his daughter Eleanor (and £490 more on certain conditions), who seems to have married an Edwards of Llanynghenedl (his grandson Griffith Edwards was to enjoy the unexpired years of a lease on Plas Ucha to cover the lives of Owen Davies and his daughter Jane). Grandson Edwards to be sole executor. Large sums of money figure in this will. Lawyer Poole was somewhat contemptuous of the way it was drawn up - by the Carreg Lwyd gardener. But it seems sound enough. Accompanied by a probate certificate.
