TitleLetter from Rachel Bromwich, Hole House, Ulpha, Broughton-in-Furness to Ifor Williams
DescriptionFound the Celtic Department at Belfast University such a fiasco.
They were in Northern Ireland for 2 years at various places during which she had lessons in Modern Irish. Her thesis on the triads for Cambridge was destroyed in an air-raid on Belfast where it was being typed. She had not preserved the rough copy. Her son was born but still she had all the copies of the Triad Mss. that she had made in Aberystwyth.
It struck her that nobody had pointed out the value of Peniarth 16 Ms. of the Triads and so has written the enclosed article. Would be pleased to have it published. Would be grateful to have his remarks on it.
Wonders if Taliesin is near publication. She is told that Bangor is full of foreign-bodies.
Gathers that Kenneth Jackson is still flourishing at Harvard.
Has been re-reading Llywarch Hen recently. John is in Italy and has an archaeological job.
