Description | The late Lady Boston - wife of the sixth Baron - was once of the outstanding personalities of this Association, whose chief aim was the improvement of the textile fabrics of Wales, providing good patterns, and finding a better market for the materials produced by the cottage workers. On August, 1908, she read a paper on cottage gardening at a Conference held at Baron Hill; in December, 1917, was published a pamphlet a 16pp. written by her on "The Agricultural Labourers of Wales and the forthcoming Housing Legislation" (brought out under the auspices of the Welsh Housing and Development Association.) |
