Description | Papers relating to the "City Dulas" copper mine at Penrhoslligwy (1872-1875): correspondence between Lord Boston's agent and Mr Mitchell of the Parys Copper Corporation Ltd., Amlwch, matters ranging over royalties, dead rents, and compensations to tenants for nuisance and damage incurred (always a little point which mining lessees were apt to forget); delay over "consent-notes" and "take-notes". The agent had also to warn Mr Mitchell that any lease granted would have to be consonant with the provisions of Lord Boston's estate "settlements". Little was lost by either side by these punctilios and delays, as the mining market was very stagnant at this period. Further correspondence in 1880 (LLIG/439-449) |
