Deed of agreement (i) that John Griffith, son and heir of the said Griffith Lewis ap William shall marry Margaret Roberts, one of the daughters of the said John Roberts on May 1, 1631 (ii) that the said T.R. shall pay Griffith Lewis the sum of £120 in consideration of the marriaeg (iii) that J.R. shall keep John Griffith and Margaret with meat drink, lodging and apparel until John Griffith attains the age of 21 years, at which time J.R. further agrees to deliver to J.G. and Margaret 40 head of beasts, 40 sheep, 1 gelding or mare and chamber furniture to the value of £5 as a marriage portion (iv0 that Griffith Lewis shall within 3 years settle on J.G. and Margaret the messuages and lands called Bodwilim, and Ynys yr ychen in Llanaber |
