Deed of agreement where by the said Humphrey covenants that his son and heir Edward Humfrey shall marry Margaret verhc Thomas, daughter of the said Thomas pa John, that he will after the marriage, convey to the said Edward the messuages and tenements called Tyddyn y doctor in Llandecwyn, except the two ffriths called Ffrythe moel y geifir, part of Tir y Doctor in Llandecwyn and Llanfihangel; and that the said Edward Shall immediately after the Feast of the Apostles Philip and James, hold and enjoy and lands and tenements called llwyn Ievan Drwm and Moel y glo in Llanfihangel; while the said Thomas ap John for his part covenants to settle upon the said Margaret the tenements, messuages and lands called Y Gerddi Bluog in Llanfair and 6 roods of meadow in the liberties of Harlech at a place called Yr Acrey; and further to pay to Edward and Margaret an annuity of 40s together with 40 head of beasts "hole, sownde and large of bones viz - 13 kine, 14 bullocks and heifers, 20 sheep, 21 geldings and 1 mare and also 2 feather beds and 2 other beds, "after the custome and ordre of the Countrey", 3 suits of apparel for the said Margaret" whereof the best suit thereof to be good silk chambelet or fyne clothe, and the other 2 sorts to be made of coarser cloth and other stuff decently and comely at the discretion of the said Thomas" |
