Description1. John Mathewe of Pengwern, yeoman, son and heir of Mathewe ap Thomas late of Pengwern, co. Denbigh, deceased, and William ap Mathewe of Ruabon, co. Denbigh, yeoman, another son of the said Mathewe ap Thomas.
2. Roger ap William of Ruabon, yeoman, and Thomas ap David ap Ievan ap Llewelyn of the same, yeoman.

Feoffment of the moiety of a messuage or tenement, kilnhouse, bakehouse, barn and other buildings in Pengwern, and closes there called y kae dan y Ty, y Coppie y Berllan, yr hen Ardd, yr Erow dan y bwth, kae Miler and kae issa yn y mynydd; a close in Llangollen Vechan called yr Erow issa and the said Mathewe's share of a close in Bachey, co. Denbigh, called Erow scriben nessa yr Nant.
To the following uses:
the first three closes mentioned in Pengwern and the close in Llangollen Vechan to the use of William ap Mathewe and his heirs, and the moiety of the said messuage, etc. and the rest of the premises to the use of John Mathewe and his heirs. Proviso that if John Mathewe pays William ap Mathewe £24 on the feast of St Andrew the Apostle in 1623, 1626 or at the end of any three years, and so from three years to three years within the term of 21 years, then the use affecting the said four closes shall cease and become void and the feoffes shall stand seised of the four closes to the only use of John Mathews.
Recites a Mortgage, dated 29 January 1617/1618, of the whole premises by the said Mathewe ap Thomas to the said William ap Mathewe in consideration of £24.
Redeemable by the heirs, executors, administrators and assigns of the said Mathewe on the feast of the Purificaiton of the B.V.M. 1638
