TeitlLetter from Humphrey Humphreys to his sister-in-law, Margaret Wynn
DisgrifiadThanks her for the most obliging and acceptable letter he ever received in his life from the person he values most in the world. Cannot yet be positive in his resolves about Johnny. It is his present opinion that he should come to the writer, but in a week's time he will without fail come to a resolution. Johnny's improvements would have been much greater at Bangor than they have been at Ruthin. Cousin Will Lloyd is settled in Oxford. Mr Ellis has now only Mr. Vaughan, Pierce Lloyd and Tommy Mostyn, and if he could take Johnny it would do well. Mr. Ellis is to take lodging with his young men at Oxford as the writer is told. The thing Mr. Mostyn would have for his son Roger is rather an improvement in his behaviour than learning, but if the writer can find a place where both may be had then he will be willing to gratify Johnny's inclination.
