TitleLetter from Humphrey Humphreys to Edward Wynne at Chwaen Wen
DescriptionWrote to him last week in a hurry and is in a little better condition at present, having at least 10 letters to write this night. Mr. Dean of Bangor is returned again for Sarum and Mr. O.M. to Oxford. The latter is resolved, so he informs the writer, to visit his friends in Wales this vacation, which resolution the Dr. does not seem very much to improve. Mr. Vaughan gets out tomorrow for Wales and next week the writerwill follow him, the parliament being prorogued because the two houses could not agree; the occasion of their quarrel the writer sent in his last letter. The reasons of both sides are endorsed, which the writer desires him to keep because he has no other copy. No more news other than that the King sent out this day positive and peremptory orders for the suppressing of all conventicles in and out of London. The writer drank Wynne's health this afternoon with Jack Jones and cousin 'Lanty Bulkly' who are both in town. Sends him humble service to Wynne and his lady and to Miss Anne Morgan.
Wynne's brother Robert is well, for Colonel Robinson had a letter from him last post. Saw Roger Wynne's old man today: he prays for him and Miss Wynne.
