DescriptionThe writer's wife with her two babes, her nurse and Rowland are come up to see London. His wife has got a 'town cold'. She is of the opinion that both Owen and cousin Bold must be under daily apprehension of being invaded by the Irish. If so she desires either of them would accept of her best mansion house at Ryton for their retirement till matters settle.
Sir William Williams is well and one of the King's Council, but if he had not made the last step safe he had been very great. But he, and all had much better "steers in the Middway". His service to all their relations but particularly to his sister, cousin Bold, cousin Em who, he knows would keep her castle at Ryton if Owen would give her leave. The writer and his family live there, certainly the quietest place in the kingdom.
