TeitlLetter from Edward Owen at Penrhos to his uncle, Dr Edward Wynne, Chancellor of Hereford
DisgrifiadHis uncle will receive a letter by the same post from the writer's mother to which his own must be by way of comment or postscript. Discusses the affairs of the Penrhos estate [consequent on the death of his brother, William Owen]. He himself has £386.3.0 which is the whole left him buy his brother to answer two rent charges amounting to £333.10.0 and debt of nearly £2,200. Asks his uncle's advice about raising money to buy off hi sister's rent charge, and should be glad to know howthe trustees are to manage the estate and by what methods they can pay off debts etc. Assures his uncle that he depends as little as possible upon Penrhos and only wishes it may weather it out and 'keep herself out of Pembrokeshire and Chancery'.
