TitleLetter from Thomas Ellis at Holyhead to Mrs Ann Owen at Penrhos
DescriptionEncloses an account of the money which she charitably sent to the writer against Christmas, together with a song which he copied from Hugh Owen's mouth (not included). Has been much hurried and fatigued of late and has just health enough to enable him to dicharge his duty and no more. "There's nothing my heart is so set upon as seeing ye Chancellor's School brought to perfection, which I hope in God it will be soon thro' your means, and I really believe it would be ye best work that has been done in the Countyfor perhaps these hundred years past".

Postscript : I'm employed by ye society for promoting Xtian knowledge to procure subscriptions towards printing ye 15000 Welsh Bibles which are now in ye press. As Anglesea is called of old Mam Cymru or Mother of Wales, I hope she'll set her daughters (viz ye other counties) a good example on this excellent occasion, - which will otherwise be a great reproach to ye Welsh, who but for the charity of ye English would in a few years have any such thing as a W. Bible among them.
