TitleLetter from William Owen to his brother Edward Owen
DescriptionHas sent his brother two guineas, one to pay for the pamphlets he sent him and the other in stock for more. When he goes to the bookseller let him enquire the price of Bayle's Dictionary. The verses which the writer mentioned have been burnt but believes M.L. has the original. Jack Owen's ode is too long for a letter. Supposes his brother has heard Jack Hollands carried off Miss White, but they say she was so far engaged to Guns Lloyd that if he manages his 'tact' rightly, he may carry the estate. It will then be a difficult matter to determine who'll have the better bargain. Further local gossip.
