TeitlLetter fromJohn Tudor at Ross to Dr Edward Wynn at Plas Eignion near Ruthin
DisgrifiadWynne's letter which the Doctor received by this post was so much obliterated that he and the writer had a great difficulty in reading it, the post and his packet had been in water for a considerable way near Henley; it has been a very stormy and tempestuous time of late in these parts and they hear of many weeks in the Severn Sea. Legal business. The writer could read that part of Wynne's letter concerning the clover; will take care to consult Tom Ross about buying it. Wynne does not say when he will be at Hereford or what number of horses are to return. The Doctor is well and gives Wynne his service. It has been the custom with them this winter to have generally 2 or 3 of their parishioners to support on Sunday nights. Mrs Lloyd never told them a word about John Owen; he is sorry Mrs Owen is so afflicted about it but is sure it is not so bad as Wynne imagines, for as far as the writer could discern from his letter, he seems to write as if he were of the opinion the young man was grown desperate
