TitleLetter from Edward to his mother, Margaret Wyne
DescriptionThinks he sent her word that he was coming to Oxford where he has been since Saturday week. Yesterday Mr John Owen came from Whistborn on his way to London. He told the writer that the Bishop talked of going to Caernarvonshire about the end of the next month and that cousin Lloyd and the children designed to set out for Hammersmith on Easter Monday. Has got a hat if he knew how to send it to Catherine. It is reported that the Bishop of Bangor is to be removed to St Asaph. Now that he has come to Oxford he does not know what to do with Harry, having no matter of business for him to do. Here at Oxforf there is no manner of employment for him. Could get him no place in London; there are so many speakers there, and he was terribly afraid he would have been snapped up by the press gang. Had a little ague while he was in London, which they say is good physic in Spring, but the rare Oxford air drove it quite away
