TitleLetter from Dr Edward Wynn at Hereford to his mother Mrs Margaret Wynn at Bodewryd
DescriptionFamily news. Is bound for Ludlow tomorrow where perhaps he may see Mr Owen of Porkington. Tomorrow is Ruthin fair and Thursday, Wrexham, where he supposes David will endeavour to pass off his cattle; God give him good markets. His wife's health is not good; the scorbutic humour in her wrists appears again and he supposes the foulness of stomach is owing to that. Has had an account of Bishop Morgan's preferments from Mr Ellis from the office at Bangor last week but wants an accurate intelligence of his proceedings in his degrees in Cambridge. But Mr Le Neve the gentleman who publishes the 'Lives of the Protestant Bishops of England since the Reformation' has advertised that his book will not be ready for the press before midsummer. The gentelmen who publishes the 'History of the Church of Hereford' is in greater haste. However, Bishop Humphreys stands ready for him in his place all except the plate for the Preface which the author hopes to be furnished with by subscribers who respect his memory. More family and domestic news. The Welsh bibles are come out and the writer has received what he subscribed for about three weeks ago
