TitleLetter from Dr Edward Wynn to his nephew William Owen at Penrhos
DescriptionThinks it very proper to advise with Sir Hugh Owen if he be acquainted with the great dealer whom Owen mentions. Would not have Dicky pinned down to he knows not whom until they are well satisfied of the character of the dealer he (Dicky) is bound to. 'He shan't go to a Quaker if an Honest Churchman can be found'. But how did it come to Owen's head to make application in a domestic concern to the quarter he did; if he kept his acquaintance with the Ancients and minded their wise maxims he would be better able to make choices of friends among the Moderns. As soon as he hears from the lawyer he has written to about this branch and trade he will communicate with Owen. The Doctor [Morgan] won't easily be persuaded that Owen has answered him until he actually receives a letter. The boy has not yet lost time because he has made a good progress in writing. Would go to London rather than that the boy should be destitute of somebody to appear for him
