TeitlCorrespondence from Richard Llwyd (author of Beaumaris Bay) from London to Lady Margaret Stanley at Penrhos.
DisgrifiadA great admirer and patron of Llwyd. A long gossipy letter. Refers to the fact that he has lately spent 7 weeks in Suffolk. Retails the latest London news. "I dare say that your Ladyship has heard that there is in this city a society lately instituted for the relief of the unfortunate offspring of genius - and I have been employed much, very much, to my satisfaction in procuring from the beneficient body a little relief for our compatriot, - David Thomas, the warbler of Eryri - a man who has written very pretty things in the purest Welsh - but upon whose teeth a fit of the rheumatism had unfortunatly laid an embargo - I hear that he is now a little better - and I hope this boon, generous and unthought of as it will be to him, will contribute much to his restoration, and renew his aquaintance with the nymphs of Dol Awen".
