Description | This folder contains a collection of correspondence and documents discussing the finance and administration of the Forestry Department of the Penrhyn Estate between 1960-1970. The collection contains a collection of letters, many between Mr. Pennant and Mr. Bruce Urquhart discussing the valuation of dedicated woodlands in Penrhyn Estate. There are many topics discussed in the correspondence included in this folder. This includes, woodland management, forestry accounts, forestry tax rebates, estate duty, rate of pay for foresters, capital gains and marketing of timber produce. There are many copies of letters sent and handwritten figures. There are many documents containing reports for the Penrhyn Estate Woodlands for November 1961, 1962,1963, 1964/5 and 1967. There are reports for the Woodlands Income for 1964, 1965 and 1966. There are also schedule for improvements to the woodlands for the years 1965 and 1966 and a document containing a 5 year programme for the forestry department between 1964-1968. There is a booklet titled, ‘Your Woodlands Profit or Loss- The Timber Growers’ Organisation 25, Belgrave Square, London.’ and a ‘Quarterly Journal of Forestry Ed. P.S. Leathart Vol.L.V. No.1.
