DisgrifiadJ.G., during the natural life of Elizabeth, shall use the pond belonging to the mill of Melin Carrog, south-east of a close called Cae'r Ynys Fawr, " and from time to time...shall secure the ditch of the said pond so as the water may reach to the brimme or border of the small furze or heath within the close y Cae Main and noe further"; Elizabeth to water her cattle in the said pond and cut the bulrushes growing upon the land in her tenure within the said pond. J.G. also to have peaceful user of the watercourse on the north side of Cae'r Ynys Fawr leading from Erthreiniog to the pond. In consideration of these privileges, J.G. allows a quillet of land to Elizabeth without any rent or other acknowledgement. Both parties agree to fprget all rents and trespasses in issue between them over pond and quillet. It is also agreed that should J.G. die during the life of Elizabeth and his heir refuse to sign this agreement, Elizabeth will also be set free from its burdens; after decease her son, Evan Edward, shall quietly enjoy his own, unless a new composition is agreed upon.
