DescriptionOf Katherine's marriage portion of £2,000 "or thereabouts", part has been paid to R. B. , and part detained by J.G. and others of K.'s friends until these presents are executed, viz. , the levying of a fine at the Anglesey Great Sessions unto John Glynne and his heirs of the capital messuage and demese lands of Porthamel amounting to 60 messuages, 4 mills, 80 gardens, 3,000 acres of land, 300 acres of meadow, 1,000 acres pasture,etc.
Exact definition and delineation, names of present tenants; details regarding succession and jointure. After Bulkeley's death, Katherine married Rowland Wynn of Pengwern in Llanwnda (Pedigrees, 12,173).
One of the witnesses is the famous Puritan Richard Edwards of Nanhoron; indeed, the whole document looks uncommonly like his script! About 1683-4: some trouble arose over its interpretation, as a commision was "kept" at Beaumaris on 3 May, 1684, when Richard Edwards and one other witness of 1671were shown the indenture and examined upon its contents.
