Disgrifiad | Reparation of the parish church of Pentraeth, 20/-; Cathedral of Bangor, 12 pence. Refers his executors, regarding debts due unto him, "to my booke of Remembrance". £60 to his son Owen [who seems to have settled down at Chester as a prosperous ironmonger]; refers to his son Hugh [a mercer in London] as "lately deceased"; executors to maintain his grandchild Thomas Price until he is old enough to become an apprentice to some honest trade (when he is to get £10) - the pedigrees do not throw any light whatsoever on this youth. Bequests to other grandchildren. Eldest son William named as sole executor; as overseers of the will J. ap R. named Richard Richard Williams of Llanddyfnan, his brother-in-law Owen Hughes, his son-in-law Hugh ap John Owen of Llanfaethlu, and his brother Hugh ap Rees ap William (about whom the pedigrees are entirely silent). The codicil of 28 June 1627, contains bequests to various servants. All proved at Bangor on 1 August 1628 |
