Assignment of a mortgage of Pentre Mawr, Penant, Wern, Trwyn Swch, Cuttir and Tre rood all in the parish of Llandyrnog; consideration, £200. Recites former assignment of the mortgage of the premises, 30 March 1758, by Anne Roberts, late of Wrexham and then of Denbigh, to Owen Thomas of Pencraig; which said assignment in turn recites that John Evans, late of Whistones, co. Worcester, Esq., by his will dated 19 July 1743, bequeathed all his lands in Llandyrnog and elsewhere in Denbighshire, to William Green of Llanbedr co. Denbigh, clerk upon the following trusts = (1.) Pentre Mawr, Pennant, Wern, Trwyn Swch, Cuttir and Tre rood to be held for the use of Rebecca his wife during her life, and (2.) all other lands in Denbighshire, immediately after the death of the said J.E. as well as Pentre Mawr, etc. after the death of Rebecca for the use of Thomas Moore, D.D., and Hugh lloyd of Berth, gent., for 200 years, they to levy out the estate by sale or mortgage the sum of £200 which was to be paid to Mary Evans, the said John Evans's daughter; and further reciting an Indenture of Mortgage of the premises, dated 19 September 1749 by John Jones of Denbigh and Mary his wife, younger daughter of the said John Evans, to the said Anne Roberts, subject to the estate for life limited to the said Rebecca, widow of John Evans. |
