TitleInstructions from Whitehall to the Lord Lieutenant
DescriptionParticularly significant are the orders for the erection of beacons in the island (1225, 1286) and for the requisitioning of waggons and carts in the event of invasion. (1234) There is evidence too of a tightening-up of the system of inspecting the militia. Other papers in this section deal with the supply of arms and ammunition, the enrolment of the Army of Reserve, and the quota therefrom demended from Anglesey; applications and recommendations for commissions etc.
