| Description | A former emplyee of the Mona Mine Co. outlines his unfortunate career and craves His Lordship's assistance to secure him an Excise job at Bath; his letter is a remarkable piece of penmanship (2086). 2087 and 2088 are applications to Sanderson from two Amlwch men for employment, the one as a book-keeper at the Mona Mine, and the other as customs officer at Beaumaris. A pencilled note by Sanderson describes the prospective book-keeper as a schoolmaster at Amlwch, having 10 pupils paying 3/- a quarter each. In 2098 Sanderson is warned by the Rector of Aberffraw (H. Wynne Jones) to be circumspect in the appointment of a new Coroner. A movement is afoot to foist on the county a man totally unequipped for the post. An appeal to the Marquess from a disabled ex-serviceman (a veteran of Corunna and Walcheren) for a recommendatory note to the Chelsea Pensions Board (2099) |
