Title | County Election of 1796 (Sir Robert Williams, Bt., 690, Lord Penrhyn, 370) Letters from Lord Newborough to Lord Uxbridge |
Description | Gratefully, if not fulsomely, acknowledging the good services of Uxbridge and Bulkeley in seeking to obtain for him an English peerage. Such at any rate appears to be the implication of the letters, and particularly of a passage in 214 : "You will permit me to mention that my Irish patent extends only to myself, to my son and his male heirs". It seems then that the rumours current in Denbighshire (see 211) were not entirely unfounded. |
