Disgrifiad | Once again the county feels itself unjustly treated as regards the quota of militiamen it is called upon to raise - considerably more than either Caernarvonshire or Merionethshire (833), despite the larger populations of those counties. Against all this must be set the War Office's decision of 13th November to disembody part of the country's militia forces - much to the joy, no doubt, of those members of the Anglesey corps who would now soon be marching home to their native country (836, 839) |
