Descriptionregatta business (1656, 1657, 1659). 1660 refers to an irregularity on the part of James Rees in having printed certain copies of "Yr amaethydd" on paper impressed with the die of the "Caernarvon and Denbigh Herald". The Marquess, who had apparently interceded on Rees' behalf with the Commissioners of Stamps and Taxes, is informed by the latter of their decision to waive any charge. John Morgan of the Caernarvon Bank applies in August 1849 for the use of the News Room at the Baths, on behalf of the newly -founded Mechanics' Institute (1670)
