TitlePapers relating to the Llanddeiniolen Crown living
DescriptionBy the death of Lewis Jones in June of this year, Llanddeiniolen is again disposable. This time there are three candidates, Evan Owen Hughes, Rector of Llanbadrig, Rice Hughes again and Thomas Parry, curate of Dwygyfylchi. The second is the obvious favourite, but as luck will have it, Plas Newydd is on this occassion forestalled by Vaenol, as is indicated in this brief note by Thomas Beer scirbbled across the foot of 1789 : "It was subsequently given to a son of Mr Williams of Treffos (Thomas Morris Williams) thro' the influence of Mr Smith"
