DisgrifiadThe appointment of a new Postmaster at Bangor presents Sanderson and his masters with a somewhat delicate problem, involving, it appears, a matter of local politics. Mrs Shome, wife of the Bangor bookseller and publisher, and the original Plas Newyss nominee for the post, it is ultimately passed over, thanks to the persuasiveness of Sir Love Jones Parry, in favous of the one Robert Prichard "leader of the Reformers of Bangor" (2263, 2267, 2271, 2272-2278, 2280-2281). James Reesm proprietor of the Caernarvon Herald solicitis a subscription towards the revival of the paper, discontinures at the end of 1835 for lack of support (2268). Sanderson has qualms : could not such a revival tend to "conciliate the favour" of the leading borough electors, who are still strongly attached to the Plas Newydd interest, and would this be a good thing in view of the results of the last two elections ?
