TitleLetter from Lewis Hughes to Lord Uxbridge.
DescriptionAt a meeting held at Caernarvon this day, the engineers reported that a timber bridge would have only a negligible effect on navigation. The Anglesey gentlement are in high spirits; those of Caernarvonshire, however, while acknowledging a timber bridge to be the least exceptionable of any scheme hitherto put forward, are not prepared to acquiesce even in this proposal before consulting their chairman and other friends now in London
