Article of Agreement (endorsed "Arthur Bagnall's Marriage Articles") whereby the said P.G. covenants to join in sale with the said A.B. and Magdalen, of lands to the value of £4000 in Anglesey and Caernarvonshire, late the inheritance of Edward Griffith, esq., deceased, and afterwards in the possession of Sir Henry Bagnall; the proceeds of the sale to be disposed of as appointed by the said Magdalen for the defraying of all debts, for the payment of a marriage portion of 1000 marks allotted by A.B. to his sister Anna Bagnall, and for the defraying of charges in repairing the castles and houses of the said A.B. in Ireland, Wales and elsehwree.
P.G. is further to make leases of all lands remaining unsold for a term of 4 years after the death of Magdalen, reserving to himself a rent of £50 p.a.; and after making the said leases to convey the reisude to Sir Arthur Chichester, Lord Deputy of IReland, Sir Richard Trevor and Evan Lloyd of Yale, in trust to the use of the said A.B. and Magdalen and their heirs |
