Description | Correspondence relating to the choice of a Representative for the county in consequence of Sir Richard Bulkeley's decision to resign the seat. Two rival candidates were put forward: Owen Fuller Meyrick of Bodorgan by the Tories and William Owen Stanley of Penrhos by the Liberals. At the hustings the latter polled 693 votes for Meyrick's 586 (see PN/II/23-125).
