TitleCoetmor (Llanllechid and Llandegai)
DescriptionIn the 18th century the Coetmor estate was one of the oldest estates in Caernarvonshire and through the marriage of Bridget Pugh with Col. Glynn Wynn in 1766 the estate passed to a cadet branch of the Glynllivon family. Towards the end of the century the estate became the subject of prolonged litigation in chancery which ultimately resulted in the master in chancery appointing Glynn Wynn received of the estates. He was succeeded in the same capacity by his brother Thomas Edward Wynn Belasyse whose deputy John Evans was in the prothonotaryship of the North Wales circuit. The most valuable section of this group is the result of Evans's activities as administrator of the estate on behalf of Wynn Belasyse.
