| Disgrifiad | The papers of this estate resolve themselves naturally into two groups. Those dealing with the devolution of the estate and which extend from 1735 to 1828 (PYA/15811-15957) and the letters from various members of the family to John Evans during the years 1782 to 1825 (PYA/15958-16322)
Some part of the estate was affected by chancery actions in 1783, 1798, 1800 and 1802, and most of the devolution papers are incidental to these actions. Only an isolated farm bill in 1770 or a lease of 1799 reflect the ordinary estate economy. |
