AdminHistory | At its greatest extent this estate consisted of scattered premises in the town of Caernarvon and the neighbouring parishes, both in Caernarvonshire and Anglesey. It changed hands, by way of normal succession, twice during the period covered by the papers, in 1803 and again in 1820, and besides the papers incidental to these changes, the devolution papers, with one exception, are of the usual type. The exception are those papers which deal with interchange of properties between the Pentir estate on one hand and the Vaynol estate and Lord Uxbridge on the other. The letters include those of Robert Williams, the estate's factotum. |
