Description | This book proceeds on quite a different principle from BEL/10, in that it gives only the total deductions per month, calculating the year from July to July. No names of bargainers or contractors. The main items are rents (Company houses), powders and fuse, smith work, coals, sundries and sums retained "on New Scheme contract". The deductions extend from p. 1 to p. 30 There are Quarry Pay Analyses for 1896 and 1897 on pp. 34-35 p. 36 is only a half-leaf, the other half being cut off and lost. Columns 5, 6 are headed respectively "New Scheme Wages" and "Belgian Scheme Wages", but no wages are entered as having been paid under the latter. The date is missing on this half-leaf. |
