| AdminHistory | The daughter of the Rev. John Roberts (1842-1908) and Sydney Margaret his wife. John Roberts spent much of his adult life in Assam as a Missionary with the Calvinistic Methodist Church and it was there that Dorothy was born in 1890. She attended UCNW in 1911 and graduated with a BA, and then a First Class Honours in 1916. Described by Sir Harry Reichel, in 1925, as "one of the ablest students we have had during the present century." She then worked as a lecturer at various colleges, including the Bangor Normal College. She married, in middle age, Professor Robert B. Forrester, who was chair of Economics and Political Science, University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, from 1931 until he retired in 1951. He was also for a time Vice Principal of the College (Aber). |
