Rywsut diflannodd y Tonicle ac yn ei le daeth cylchgrawn rag o'r enw 'Echins' a bron ddim Cymraeg ynddo. Ochr Gymraeg yr hen Tonicle fu'r ysbrydoliaeth i Dafydd Glyn Jones ac eraill sefydlu "Bronco" yn 1963, ac fe arweiniodd Bronco wedyn at sefydlu "Lol".
Bilingugual Rag Newspaper of UCNW which ran for around 20 years. It was established by John Roberts Wililams in the 1930s and survived until the mid 1950s. The title is a skit on the local newspaper, North Wales Chronicle. Pre-Tonicle, there was another rag paper named "Bang or Bust" and the Tonicle was succeeded by "Echins".
The Tonicle was the inspiration for the establishment of another magazine in 1963, "Bronco", which in turn led to the establishment of "Lol". |
