Bargain and sale enrolled (in consideration of a marriage lately solemnised between Lucy, eldest daughter of the said Robert Rodd, and the said Robert Price, and as part of portion to the said Lucy Price) of the fourth part of the manor or lordship of Whitney and of the capital messuage called Whitney Court, the park called Whitney Park, the castle, manor and lordship of Clifford, the park called Clifford Park, the messuage of farm called Castleton in the parish of Clifford and Llanvair y Bryn and of the advowson of the parish church of Whitney.
Also recites that the present conveyance is made towards the performance of the said Robert Rodd's covenant for further assurance of the premises comprised in an Indenture Quadrupartite dated 30 August 1679, between the said Robert and Sophia his wife (1), Margaret Price of Bwlch y Beudy, co. Denbigh, widow (2), the said Robert Price (3), and Sir William Gregory, one of the barons of the Exchequer, Thomas Neale of London, esq., Uvedale Tomkins of Monnington, co. Hereford, esq., Owen Wynne of Melay, co. Denbigh, esq., Eubule Thelwall of Nantclwyd, co. Denbigh, esq., Cadwaladr Wynne of Voylas, co. Denbigh, esq., and John Mashmore, co. Denbigh, esq. (4). |
