- Draft of an address on "Bedydd" (5-6)

(ii) 12-21 In the main obituary notices sent for insertion in the "Drysorfa" of which Roger Edwards was editor from 1846 to 1886. No doubt, if the columns of that periodical be meticulously examined, many of these notices will be discovered amongst them. It must be pointed out that some of them were written at a date prior to Roger Edwards's editorship; very likely they were handed over to him by the representatives of the previous editor (John Parry of Chester).
No. 13 is a communication regarding John Davies of Nerquis, how many times he had preached, baptised, lectured etc.

(iii) 22-31 Communications (1848-1849) sent to Roger Edwards as Secretary of the Quartely Meeting (Sassiwn). They are summaries or synopses of the transactions of the various monthly meetings in north Wales - procedure, resolutions etc.
In no. 29 we see the unmistakable script of Dr Lewis Edwards of Bala; no. 31 is an interesting communication from the South Wales Association held at Rhymney in May 1949, signed by eleven of the chief leaders at the time, explaining a course of policy for the better development of the Methodist cause in the Metropolis. No. 15 refers to inquiry into accusation against a certain minister, the evidence taken etc.

(iv) 32-33 Refer to criticism of the "Drysorfa" as edited by John Parry in his later days, and to some difficulties that had arisen between Parry's son and the "Drysorfa" powers

(v) 34-58 Lettes of Roger Edwards up to 1839 (arranged in alphabetical order of writers' surnames). No. 34 is addressed to him as "schoolmaster" at Dolgellau; no. 35 is addressed to him as editor of "Cronicl yr Oes". Nos 37-38 were written by Christmas Evans, one to Roger Edwards, the other to Lloyd the printer - both are concerned with the great Baptist preacher's idea to have a work published to Teetotalism (it was publised at Mold in 1837). Nos. 38-42 were written by John Evans; Nos. 44 and 56 by HenryWillimas - both evidently old friends.
