16 - Deed of Grant by Sir Richard B, the third to Dame Agnes Bulkeley [his step-mother, second wife to the second Sir Richard] of lands in Newton, co. Cheshire [there are several Newtons in that county, but this is probably now called Newton Moor], on condition that Sir Richard's servants might have ingress and egress for the cutting of timber on these lands, but on condition also that Dame Agnes could utilise the fellable trees, i.e., those under twenty years growth.

This document seems to confirm the theory that Sir Richard B., son of the third Sir Richard, died some time in 1624; he had married the daughter of Sir Thomas Wilford

57-59 - Three documents, two indentures (25 May, 1631) and one record of the Committee sitting at the London Guild Hall (7 May, 1651), whose combined intent and meaning is the vesting in Richard Bulkeley, esq. [grandson of the third Sir Richard] of the interests of the Crown in five Anglesey "townships", sold to him for £1,500; £955.16.8. already paid, leaving a residue of £544.3.4. to be paid before the last day of the Easter term in 1631. The annual rents were fixed at £47.9.4.
60 - Indenture by which certain interests of the Crown in Anglesey "townships" are transferred from feofees in trust to Sir Richard Bulkeley, esq.; cites an indenture of the 25 May last past by which four citizens of London had vested them in the aforesaid trustees. The transfer cost £1,500 to R.B.

97-100 - Papers (four) ancillary to the marriage settlement of Richard, son and heir of Thomas, Viscount Bulkeley, and Katherine, daughter of Sir Roger Mostyn of Mostyn, of which 97 is a mere draft, 98 is an indenture of 24 Aug., 1648, while 99 and 100 are two copies of a “Particular of the lands of Thomas Buckley, Esquiere, sett out for the uses following", viz., charged with £300 per annum for the maintenance of Richard B. & Katherine his wife until the said R. attain the age of 20 years, and then to be enjoyed in kind. Informing schedule of tenements swith details about tenants and tenures. A collation of the docts. With 80-84 raises some doubt whether the actual marriage took place in 1641 or 1648

Peter Jones was evidently a London Welshman who had a good deal of money, but he could not write his name

144 - Evidence of inquiry into the tables of descent of the Bulkeleys of Baron Hill. No clue regarding its date, but approximately 1660. There are no new facts, except the reference to a [half] brother of Sir Richard the third (d. 1621) named Edward, "of Pixley in Salop"
145 - Deed of appointment of Robert, second Viscount Bulkeley, as Deputy Lieutenant of the six northern counties of Wales under Richard, Earl of Carbery, as Lord Lieutenant of all Wales
