52 - Aerial photograph of Bangor University, College Road and Upper Bangor. To the left can be seen the old C&A Hospital where Asda now stands along Holyhead Road. Across the road is Bangor’s Catholic Church with its tower and spire clearly visible. Beneath these at the bottom of the hill stands the University’s old Students Union alongside Theatre Gwynedd where Pontio Arts Centre now presides. In the background flows the Menai Straits towards both the Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge with the latter under adaption to facilitate motor traffic. Meanwhile the Isle of Anglesey fades hazily into the background.
53 - Aerial photograph of Bangor University’s Main Building on the hill overlooking the town. In the background are Upper Bangor and the Menai Straits whilst at the foot of the hill can be seen the rooftops of the Old Students Union and Theatre Gwynedd. Both have since been demolished to make way for the Pontio Arts Centre.
54 - Photograph of Caernarfon Castle taken from Foreshore Road on the opposite side of Afon Seiont (Seiont River). Yachts and fishing boats can be seen aground while the tide has gone out. The view is slightly obstructed by branches and trees.
