26-29 - Further Oxford events: his first going up on Oct. 7, 1881; reference to the visit of Moody and Sankey in Nov., 1882. Interest shifts to his Eisteddfodic connections; he was present at the Wrexham meeting on August 24, 1876, the day of "Y Gadair Ddu"; he jots down the prizes he won at Birkenheed in 1878 and Liverpool in 1884, and breaks the news that he had material collected for writing an essay on 'Hanes Llenyddiaeth Gymraeg o 1300 i 1650' for the Cardiff Eisteddfod of 1883, "but no essay sent in [by me]. Gweirydd ap Rhys won prize" At the foot he refers to his D.N.B. contributions, that the first article sent in was on Madog ap Maredudd (XXXV, July, 1893), that the last was that on Watcyn Wyn (2nd Suppt., Vol. iii, 1912).
