415 - Order of the Court of the Council in the Marches of Wales against Robert Wynn ap Hugh ap Robert found guilty of incest and adultery. He is to be committed to ward to the porter's lodge and ordered to remain there until he pays a fine of a £100 for the incest and £20 for the adultery; also to be made to stand openly on a scaffold within the church of the town where the next Great Sessions for Anglesey shall be held and remain thre during the sermon wearing on his head a white paper bearing the words : for incestuous living with two sisters and living an adulterous and lascivious life. He shall then stand on the same scaffold near the high cross or market place of the said town for one whole hour on the market day of the sessions week with the same paper on his head. Many of the papers refer to an action in the Holyhead County Court in which Arthur Steven Plews of Plas Cymuran sought an injunction against Alderman John Owen of Penmynydd to restrain him from removing sand and gravel from the said foreshore.
