Deed of lease by Jane Griffith of Trewyn, widow, to John Griffith ap David ap John of Clorach, upon the capital messuage of Trewyn, commote of Twrcelyn, for 60 years (if Jane Griffith so long liveth) at a yearly rent of £30 Jane was evidently the widow of the Thomas Humphrey ap Griffith who had mortgaged Trewyn to Sir Richard Bulkeley in 1598. Had that mortgage been redeemed, or was Jane keeping it alive by paying lawful interest, which would eat up a good part of this £30 rent? 30 October 1603
