  <dc:title>Indenture with counterpart</dc:title>
<dc:description>between Sir Richard Bulkeley and Jane Griffith, widow, of Trewyn, commote of Twrcelyn; cites the indenture of 16 January, 1597-8, making provision for levying a fine upon Trewyn for the use and behoof of Thomas ap Humphrey [then living] and Jane his wife and the longest liver of them; after their decease, to the use of Sir Richard and his heirs [there is some discrepancy here: the indenture for levying a fine was signed on 1 Sept.,1596 (BHILL/1389-1390) while 16 Jan., 1597-8, was the date of a deed of mortgage (1395-1397). By this present indenture Jane Griffith acknowledges the true intent and meaning of the use in remainder to Sir Richard by covenanting to pay the 2/- annual rent agreed upon</dc:description>
